![]() ![]() There I said it, please don't hate me but things just started falling apart after that. I wish this was the one and only book in this trilogy. Nothing life changing, but enjoyable none the less. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't tackle any deep or serious issues, it is fairly surface level. The characters, setting, and overall arch of book 1 in this trilogy was fleshed out very well. ![]() It's rare that I become just as invested in secondary characters as I am with the main characters. I found myself drawn to everyone in this book, almost equally. ![]() I found this book reminding me of my youth a couple of times and I welcomed the nostalgia. This book delivered all the cliches, wishing you're cool (kind of) aunt was your mom, the summer vacation feel every kid relishes in, unattainable first crushes, and all that comes with growing up. I expect messy, young characters who make mistakes and say the wrong thing. I really like a good coming of age story, they're my guilty pleasure genre. Jenny Han, stole my heart last year when I discovered, To All The Boys, when I finally picked up this trilogy I was nothing but excited. ![]()
